An Intimate Look at the Music Video Private Screening Of ‘BANANA’ BY MEAKU

Monday November 27th 2017. Nigerian-American International Pop, RnB & Afro Beats artist Meaku released his music video for his smash hit “Banana”  in the heart of downtown LA at the hip Blue Moon Hookah Lounge. The single’s cheeky name and sensual lyrics have led it to reach impressive streaming numbers on the underground online music circuit. The single “Banana” written and performed by Meaku is a sexy record with breathy vocals and minor key tonality that falls gracefully over the synthetic instrumentation and African influenced composition produced by JB Minor. The visuals for the video capture the true essence of the song including an ode to the iconic Josephine Baker ,induced with imagery of African culture, dance and a taste of humor. Vibrant visuals complete with snazzy choreography make this video a fun watch. The crowd was hip and artistic reflecting his diverse fan base. Stylish attendees puffed on hookah provided by Blue Moon Hookah as they were treated to a specially curated banana flavor.

An open bar provided by Star Tender and complimentary Nigerian Jollof and plantain added to the festive spirit of the party. As the video premiered the crowd cheered Meaku and his production team on a job well done.  There was even an emotional surprise birthday video and cake presented to the man of the hour that brought him to tears and definitely showed a side of humility within the rising star not too often showcased in mainstream media. Throughout the night beaming supporters popped in and out of a Banana themed photo booth area which was provided by Opulen Photobooth. The Banana themed event was produced by LaMay Day Productions and Events with Edna. Meaku’s premiere for “Banana” was a successful event complete with afro-beat and hip hop tunes as well as new and unreleased tracks by Meaku spun by resident Blue Moon dj DJ Unique. With out a doubt this event set a new standard for Afro-beat musical release events in the LA area.
